2 Corinthians 9:10 (NLT): “For God is the one who gives seed to the farmer and then bread to eat. In the same way, he will give you many opportunities to do good, and he will produce a great harvest of generosity in you”
God is so amazing in the ways HE blesses us. To some He blesses with revelation, others with money, yet others with certain possessions. One must understand the concept of reciprocity. It’s God alone who gives seed and it’s up to us, the recipients of the seed, to be lead by the Holy Spirit how to distribute the seed. For what purpose? Well, as the above Scriptures says, “produce a great harvest of generosity in you.” Notice it does not say a harvest of generosity for you, instead it says “…harvest of generosity IN YOU.” Many also use clichés like “If he can get it through you, he can get it to you” appealing to people’s desire of wanting more money. Instead the cliché should be stated in the following way; “if HE can get THROUGH you, HE can get it IN YOU!” This will be consistent with God’s purpose for man.
When Father in heaven blesses you with more than you need, sow it into someone’s life. Take a look at the referenced scripture above in another translation;
2 Corinthians 9:10 (MSG); “This most generous God who gives seed to the farmer that becomes bread for your meals is more than extravagant with you. He gives you something you can then give away, which grows into full-formed lives, robust in God”
God’s purpose for blessing us is to pay it forward (without complaining) to those who will benefit in ways you never thought of. You will not benefit a thing if you give expecting anything in return. You will not benefit anything if you complain about the good you are doing! Freely give as freely you have received.
Give to someone today without expecting nothing in return and watch the transformation that will take place in your heart and remember “if He can get it through you, He can get it IN you!”
